Password policy change: Minimum password length for new accounts increased to 10 characters

We are rolling out a change in the password policy across mobile and web users , which will affect the environments incrementally.

The new password policy increases the minimum number of characters for passwords from 8 to 10.

This has the following impact:

• existing web users (Dynamics Mobile Portal) will not be affected unless they try to change their password - they will be required their new password to have 10 characters or more

• existing mobile users will not be affected unless they try to wipe-out and re-deploy. They will be required to change their password to 10 characters ( entering the 10 characters long password in the New Password field)

• Administrators resetting passwords for mobile users without an email via ADM - they will be required to enter a password which is 10 characters long (or more).
